Ocean level rise and coastal protection are hot topics. Beach nourishments are one of the most used metods to reinforce coastal zones. Often these nourishments are going hand in hand with negative effects on the surf conditions, albeit most of times temporarily. We can turn those beach nourishments around into an improvement of the surf conditions without extra construction costs. We have succesfully designed surf enhancing beach nourishments for Scheveningen, The Netherlands and Cronulla, Australia.
